The KCI Intake Coordinator serves as a liaison and coordinator between patients, community providers, and OHSU specialty and surgical practicesThis position plays a vital role in supporting the work of the clinical teamsThe Intake Coordinator will facilitate medical review, maintain a diagnosis database, and report on scheduling and disease specific data

Responsibilities
• Serve as the Cancer Network's main point of contact for coordination of care at OHSU• Triage Network inquiries and referrals to appropriate OHSU contacts• Support community providers and patients throughout the cancer care continuum• Ensure Network patients follow through with referrals to other specialties• Process incoming referrals and request medical records• Maintain current information on insurance plans and serve as a liaison for authorization requirements• Gather and verify patient information, enter it accurately into the EMR• Knowledge of multiple Ambulatory workflows and advanced computer skills• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently with a high level of accuracy• Use tact and diplomacy to maintain effective working relationships
Requirements
• Associate's degree or certificate in office occupations or office technology and two years of general office or secretarial experience OR• Bachelor's degree and two years of general office or secretarial experience OR• Equivalent combination of training and experience• At least one year of experience in a medical office setting• Thorough knowledge of patient scheduling and referral processes in EPIC or other EHR system• Experience working with electronic medical records• Strong attention to detail and processes• Energy and drive to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously• Ability to use tact and diplomacy to maintain effective working relationships
