The Role

Our Awards team is looking for a dynamic professional to join the Documentary Film & Series Awards Team. The ideal candidate will have knowledge working across entertainment, including but not limited to film, series and/or non-fiction with a communications, publicity or marketing specialty.

This role will support the documentary awards team by pitching press, staffing interviews and events, maintaining key documents, scheduling and more. They will liaise with cross-functional teams like Publicity, Marketing and Content on campaign activity and work directly with global agencies to ensure logistical support and implementation of strategy.

This candidate will play a key role in supporting the Netflix Awards Team focused on Documentary Features, Series and Shorts. Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, quick-thinking, flexible, able to pivot when necessary and can juggle a multitude of responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and precision. This is a demanding and fast moving position that requires someone who has a positive attitude, a love for documentaries and is able to exercise good judgment, take initiative and demonstrate strong communication skills.

The job is based in New York City and reports to the Senior Manager of Awards, Documentary Film & Series based in our Los Angeles office.

Responsibilities
Pitching and securing press interviews and coverage

Schedule and facilitate meetings, including securing conference rooms, putting together presentations and coordinating audiovisual needs

Maintaining and creating press lists, press statuses, moderator and talent briefings and other background documents

Covering interviews, junkets and press days both in person and virtually

Staffing events including premieres, tastemakers and film festivals

Maintaining asset folders with credits, film stills and other materials

Day-to-day maintenance of awards budgets for documentary spends; track and submit payments, request and submit POs

Qualifications
2+ year(s) of publicity-related professional experience in a studio, network, agency, brand, or similar organization

Passion about the evolving entertainment landscape with a strong working knowledge of the awards space for film and series

A clear and concise communication style and can effectively convey complex ideas written and verbally

Meticulous organizational skills, good judgment in the face of ambiguity, a superpower for multitasking

A proactive and positive approach, and will embody our company values every day

Demonstrated ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $60,000 - $234,000.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
