Description The creative group at Salesforce has an opening for a copywriter (6) supporting our Industries Creative team — a dedicated, collaborative person who can not only build resourceful, original, and effective content, but can develop it within a business strategy.
You must be able to:
Work independently and as part of the creative team, typically including an art director and designer, to deliver on-brand work on every aspect of a project
Flex across subject matter, thinking beyond what it means to be a copywriter, and working alongside designers in their day-to-day role
Use Google Workspace, Figma, and Salesforce tools such as Slack and Quip to collaborate and implement work remotely, comfortably communicate via text-based and video chats
Understand the business and industries of our target audiences.
Be in perpetual state of learning, always trying to understand the landscape of our industries and our competitors, and constantly honing your writing and conceptual craft
Bring an attitude of modesty, integrity, and fun to your work
Remain positive and be essential with a bias toward action during times of ambiguity, take initiative to move forward, and seek the required project information
Participate effectively in all necessary internal and external meetings — briefings, status, brainstorming sessions, and presentations
Prioritize projects to manage multiple tasks at once; show an ability to delegate tasks as needed to agency partners; able to work with project management to meet all deadlines
Present and sell the creative work
Provide a point of view and express it well
Find opportunities within a project to build content and provide value
Maintain strong, trusted relationships with all members of the Creative team, as well as members of the Product Marketing, Campaigns, and Content teams
Manage all information and updates (pertaining to copy) from start to finish
Accept and effectively incorporate partner and peer feedback into work, revising as needed
Be able to defend good copy and decisions
Work quickly and effectively under tight deadlines

Specific Knowledge/Skills:
Minimum of 5+ years creative writing experience in an agency or in-house setting
We welcome individuals from non-traditional writing backgrounds who are able to set themselves up as holistic creatives interested in influencing the process from start to finish
You have a portfolio that displays long-term client relationships, integrated campaigns, and effective, compelling writing
Experience with corporate marketing and branding, and a clear understanding of marketing strategies and concepts
Strong understanding of at least 2 of our core industry landscapes
Strong presentation skills, and outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to interpret creative direction, and a willingness to learn
Comfort with ambiguity and change
Experience writing both print and web copy
Experience writing both long-form/journalistic copy as well as shorter ad copy
Strong proofing/copy editing skills are desirable
