Job Description This position is responsible for the oversight and management of Enterprise Accounting and Financial planning/reporting functions.
Essential Functions Establishes and maintains accounting policies and controls, fiscal controls, preparing financial reports and safeguarding the organization's assets.
Provides leadership, coaching and direction of the Accounting and Financial reporting teams.
Coordinates, administers, and controls financial operations.
Provides tax, insurance and other reports required by governmental regulations.
Reviews, analyzes, and interprets financial and budgetary reports.
Directs all aspects of accounting operations and the preparation of annual financial forecasts.
Oversees the development of financial accounting systems required to maintain reporting requirements.
Responsibility for all accounting activities within the organization.
Develops and executes strategies and standards related to accounting policy, financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, budgeting, and financial systems and controls.

Develops internal controls and oversees audits of policies and procedures meant to preserve the organization's assets.
Responsible for aligning departmental strategy or direction with the overall goals of the organization.
Develops policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.
Qualifications: Combination of education and experience generally acquired through the attainment of a bachelor's degree and 10 to 12 years' experience in accounting.
CPA license preferred but not required.
Public accounting experience required.
Financial institution experience required.
Strong communication skills, including written and verbal communications, as well as proven ability to present to internal management groups, external stakeholders and Board of Directors.
Strong leadership and coaching experience, with demonstrated ability to collaborate through cross-functional teams and initiatives.
