As we continue to support global growth and expansion, we are seeking a Corporate Controller to own and evolve an innovative technology software company's accounting, tax, treasury, controls, financial statements, and related processes.
Position Summary: The Corporate Controller is a solid business leader with robust accounting management experience, built on excellent problem-solving, and cross-group collaboration skills. They will be a hands-on and results-oriented individual who has successfully built and/or transformed financial processes and reporting capabilities, ideally with a software subscription business model. They will be a competent partner to the FP&A function as well as to the management team in driving profitable growth. Primary responsibilities are supervising and reviewing daily financial accounting and tax activities, including with third party advisors, as well as partnering with Company leadership across the org to develop best practices and policies. Focus areas include process improvements for efficiency and scalability and enforcing internal controls. The role will oversee all accounting, tax and treasury activity for the Company, including general ledger, billing and revenue, cash management, and payroll. Other responsibilities may be assigned by the CFO to help drive our vision and mission to alignment with our organization's values.
Work you'll do:
\n In this role, you will Own the monthly and quarterly close processes and consolidation with a focus on driving improvements (i.e. quality of output, efficiency & speed) to enable optimal business decisionsPrepare and review the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements Support the business owners in SaaS pricing implications for GAAP, revenue recognition and ability to achieve monetary outcomesEnforce and improve accounting, treasury and tax policiesOversee the Billing and Collections processes Lead the annual audit process and manage relationship with external auditors, including statutory auditorsAssist with M&A activities, including due diligence and integrationProactively manage the Company's cash, including the planning and forecasting of weekly, monthly and annual cash flowsAssist the FP&A function with monthly, quarterly budget variance processesOversee the Corporate Card, and Corporate Travel programsSupport the CFO in preparing presentations for banks, investors, board of directors and other needsHelp manage the business internationally, with multiple currencies, companies and tax requirementsEstablish and maintain effective internal controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, commensurate with the size of the businessWorks closely with leadership and HR teams to create Payroll and AP/Expenses policies and procedures that make sense for employees and cash management Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting. An MBA or Masters degree is a plus. CPA certification (or equivalent) required10+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, including exposure to international businesses and multiple currencies.Proven experience managing accounting personnel and closing the books as well as creating financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.Extensive experience using Sage Intacct cloud accounting and reporting software.GL consolidation experience in a multi-currency environment.Strong understanding and ability to own and optimize accounting and treasury tools, technologies, and platforms.Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.Results-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.Experience in a private equity-backed environment or fast-growing company is required.
\n$160,000 - $185,000 a year
The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $185,000 USD per year and depends on experience. This position is also eligible for a bonus and stock options as part of the compensation package.
Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. \nThe Team: The Accounting team includes a manager and various senior and junior staff in various functional areas, including AR and Billing, AP, GL, Payroll and treasury. This role, along with the FP&A and Legal teams, reports to the CFO and will work collaboratively with these teams on a daily or weekly basis to enhance processes, improve financial outcomes, and grow the business value.
