We're looking for a talented attorney to help support our Books business, including our in-house publishing businesses, Amazon Publishing and its audio publishing subsidiary, Brilliance Publishing.
Key job responsibilities Providing day-to-day and strategic advice to business partners on new and existing initiatives and key negotiationsAdvising on, drafting, and negotiating a variety of agreements, with particular focus on publishing and content licensing agreementsIdentifying legal risks and proposing mitigation strategiesWorking cross-functionally with legal and non-legal teamsSome travel, domestic and international, may be required About the team
The Books Legal team supports Amazon's Books business, including our in-house publisher, Amazon Publishing.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.
The base pay for this position ranges from $138,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market.
Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Amazon is a total compensation company.
Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
