The Role in Brief:  MARKETview is seeking a talented and organized individual to plan our internal and external events.
The Event Manager is responsible for all aspects of planning and executing events hosted by MARKETview or attended by representatives of the MARKETview team. This role is a highly collaborative role that requires alignment between Business Development and Client Success. It involves coordinating logistics and recruitment, managing budgets, and ensuring a successful event experience for attendees.
Key Responsibilities: Event Management: Plan and execute all hosted events, including meetings, educational events, and social events in various locations throughout the United States. Conduct venue research, negotiate contracts, and finalize arrangements such as menu selections, transportation, and more. Ensure smooth event logistics and memorable experiences for attendees. Conference Planning: Manage conference budgets, tracking expenses and allocations. Build relationships with conference hosts. Secure sponsorships, exhibits, and presentations for a variety of higher education conferences. Collaborate with speakers to ensure timely communication and preparation. Partnerships: Cultivate and manage relationships and facilitate coordination and collaboration with industry associations and consortia. Ensure partner benefits are activated and mutually beneficial. Office Engagement & Facilities: Lead the Employee Engagement Committee, fostering employee engagement and team building that aligns with our mission. Manage set up and break down of internal events. Provide support during partner visits to the office. Maintain a tidy and welcoming office environment. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field. Experience in event planning and/or project management Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities. Why MARKETview?
