Summary: The Corporate Health and Safety Analyst plays a key role in shaping the strategic direction and vision of the organization's health and safety programs. This position is responsible for the detailed in-depth analysis, development of analytic tools such as dashboards and visualizations, development of reporting tools, and overall management for health and safety data. This position reports to the Corporate Safety Compliance Manager.
What you'll be contributing: Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines. Implement safe work practices and participate in a proactive safety culture while ensuring safety for the employee, the public, and the environment at all times. Maintain the incident database and ensure that monthly audits are completed. Conduct or coordinate employee safety orientations, certifications, industrial hygiene testing, classroom training, and hands-on plant training. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations. Integrate data from multiple systems (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau, Microsoft Office Suite) to create comprehensive strategic recommendations and presentations. Lead the development of industry, market, and competitive analysis to support strategy formulation and planning. Interpret data, and analyze results using statistical techniques. Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. Develop analytical tools, standardized reporting, dashboards, and executable strategies; assist leadership in the continuous improvement of processes. Create and manage digital data repositories as required. Prepare reports and analyses for internal teams, external clients, and/or stakeholders. Work with leadership to prioritize business and information needs. Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data. Visualize data with graphs, infographics, and other methods. Locate and define new process improvement opportunities and make recommendations. Develop slide decks that effectively communicate the results of analyses with clear context. Manage and administrate programs and projects to ensure ongoing progress. Coordinate bi-weekly meetings and track backlog items to ensure timely completion. Additional duties as assigned by supervisor. To succeed in this position, you will need: Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc. Minimum 4 Year - Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety Management, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or related field. Minimum 3 Years of experience in mining, industrial environment, or safety-related field. Ability to maintain databases used to store MSHA citation records as well as industrial hygiene data, injury and accident investigation data, and behavioral safety observations. Proficient with Salesforce, Snowflake, Tableau, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft PowerApps, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets. Ability to maintain personal proficiency level by attending appropriate professional development courses. Proficient in problem solving skills. Proficient in developing and delivering effective presentations. Proficient in English written, verbal communication, and listening skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in parallel to conclusion. Ability to promote a positive safety and health image of the plant and corporation in the community. Ability to make decisions and exercise sound judgment in arriving at a conclusion. Ability to work with company and plant policies and guidelines. Ability to refer to plant Safety Manager or Corporate Director of Health and Safety when clarification or interpretation of organization policy is needed. Domestic Travel up to 25%.
