JOB SUMMARY
TexEx Energy, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Real Estate Paralegal to provide critical support within our corporate legal department.
Working directly with the Assistant General Counsel and cross-functionally with our Executive Team and various departments, this role will primarily focus on real estate and finance-related legal matters, including managing lending documents, contract administration, mortgage closings, and property transactions (both commercial and residential).
The successful candidate will also assist with foreclosure proceedings and compliance issues, ensuring smooth legal operations in a dynamic corporate environment.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Real Estate and Finance Support: Assist the General Counsel with the drafting, review, and execution of real estate finance documents, including traditional mortgage agreements, development and construction loan documents, and commercial property acquisition contracts.
Assist with foreclosures from beginning to end, including but not limited to drafting demand letters, deeds, and affidavits, as well as filing into various records.
• Document Preparation and Review: Draft, proofread, and finalize various legal documents including, but not limited to, financial documents, demand letters, contracts, routine correspondence, deeds, deeds of trust, promissory notes, contract terminations, litigation holds, discovery requests, and discovery responses.
• Legal Research: Conduct legal research on various issues, and assist in the preparation and timely filing of real estate and other filings.
• Transaction Support: Provide support during the entire lifecycle of real estate transactions, from initial negotiations to closing, ensuring all legal documents are accurately prepared, executed, and filed.
• Litigation Support: Assist in managing litigation matters, including document production and responding to discovery requests.
Serve as a liaison with external counsel, courts, and others when necessary.
• File and Records Management: Maintain a well-organized filing system in accordance with company record retention policies, ensuring all legal files, including real estate, corporate, and litigation matters, are accurate and up-to-date.
• Special Projects: Collaborate on various corporate initiatives and other legal and administrative projects as assigned by the General Counsel or other executive team members.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Education: Associate of Applied Science degree or an accredited Paralegal Certificate. • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of paralegal experience in a legal office or relevant field.
Previous experience with real estate transactions is required. • Preferred Industry Experience: Experience in the financial, real estate, or mortgage lending or legal sectors is highly preferred.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to convey complex legal and business information clearly and effectively.
• Research Skills: Demonstrated ability to conduct in-depth legal research and analyze statutes, regulations, and case law related to corporate and real estate transactions.
ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Could involve some lifting up to 20 pounds
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time without much movement
• Ability to work in time-sensitive environment with non-flexible deadlines
