Cost Accounting Analyst Needed ASAP! 6 month or longer contract 77027 Galleria area To $40 hourly Financial accounting, analysis and reconciliations including income, expenses and capital expenditures and fixed assets and inventoryPrepare accounting entries and for fixed asset and in-progress transactions ·Review and approve monthly and quarterly account reconciliations as prepared by the team to lower risk and ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenanceReview and approve medium to high risk journal entries as prepared by the teamPrepare, review and input journal entries for month-end closeParticipate in monthly, quarterly and Annual closeAnalyze, investigate and resolve accounting and control issues in accordance with company policiesPrepare and analyze financial records and reportsPrepare account reconciliations and analysis including cash and bank, intercompany and general ledger.Analyze variances, communicate results and provides support to operational areas in understanding and managing variances.Participate in continuous improvement and champion best practices and improvements to transactional accuracyPerform SOX controlsRequirements: Bachelor's Degree in Acct or FinanceMinimum Years of Experience: 1 yr of Financial AnalysisPrefer manufacturing experiencePrior knowledge of fixed assetsGreat Advanced Excel and accounting software skillsPrior experience with SAP or another ERP systemExcellent communication
