Responsibilities:




This role will report to the Project Controls Director with a focus on project cost controls.
Based in Dallas, TX this position will support the Engineering Department as the project controls representative.
Duties include:




Works with Engineering Project Managers (PMs) to provide project cost controls and data analysis support.


Coordinate with PMs to update weekly cost forecasts for Growth CAPEX projects as well as CAPEX forecasting for annual budgets and quarterly reforecast.


Support the PM by assisting with the PO and invoicing process.


Participate in project meetings with a focus on anything that will impact cost and/or cash flow.


Coordinate with PMs, Supply Chain, and Land to accurately budget and forecast projects.


Perform detailed variance analysis of actual financial results versus plan, forecast, and key performance metrics.


Produce ad hoc reports and/or analysis as requested.


Ability to identify and communicate variances/changes from plan to leadership via both written and oral communication.


Assist in the preparation of Annual, quarterly, and monthly budgeting and reforecasting of Growth CAPEX for executives, Board of Directors, and investor groups.




Occasionally travel to job sites as it is needed to aid in the understanding of larger projects or specific cost items (1-2 trips per quarter).




Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in data science, mathematics, engineering, business, or other similar degree.


5+ years experience in oil & gas or 10+ years in construction.


Strong Microsoft Excel skills are preferred or a demonstrated ability to learn.


Prior experience in highly collaborative team situations is a must.


Demonstration of problem-solving capabilities is crucial.


Excellent oral and written communication skills.


Analytical, negotiating and interpersonal skills.


Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
