Cost Engineer Automation Manufacturing

FPC of Hendersonville is currently seeking a Cost Engineer to lead global cost reduction efforts for a client located in Ventura County, CA. The ideal candidate will collaborate with key stakeholders worldwide to optimize cost, quality, delivery, and technology for products and manufacturing objectives.

Salary range: $110k-$130k with competitive benefits including monthly and yearly bonuses, and profit sharing.

Job Responsibilities: Assess supplier capabilities in design, manufacturing, and quality. Collaborate with suppliers to enhance delivery, quality, and cost efficiency using lean manufacturing principles. Negotiate contracts covering price, payment terms, and transportation. Estimate costs and implement Value Engineering to drive cost reduction in design and manufacturing. Monitor market prices, trends, and manufacturing advancements. What they are looking for in a candidate: Bachelor's in engineering required. MBA preferred. 5+ years' strategic procurement experience in manufacturing, preferably in Automotive or Aerospace. Proficient in reading blueprints and MS Office applications. Experience with sheet metal, international sourcing, and willingness to travel up to 30%. SAP experience preferred. CAD/CAM experience preferred. US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
