Costume Issue Supervisor – Universal Epic Universe

Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. There are also roles that require being on-site full time. Limited remote opportunities may be available within specific departments. You'll learn more about this during the recruitment process.
JOB SUMMARY:

To support and supervise the daily operation of all Entertainment Costuming venues – including, but not limited to, costume issue, laundry, repairs and fittings.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain the daily operation of the Costume Issue Areas; including monitoring staff and ensuring that all standard operating procedures are followed. Coach, monitor and track the staff's work processes. Instruct and monitor costume specialists in required daily techniques and procedures.
Work with Entertainment managers on solutions to issues and ensure all costumes are properly maintained. Maintain quality control for costume pieces and animated parts.
Maintain team member schedules. Perform proper and timely administration of daily payroll/time keeping. Provide counseling and coaching and timely performance reviews to Issue Area team members. Maintain staffing levels and hire new team members as needed.
Communicate consistently with the costuming team by giving feedback for both recognition and improvement daily. Communicate with management and hourly team members, keeping communication open to maintain positive team member relations.
Assist with the set up and operation of new projects and events as needed.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

High school degree or GED is required.
Additional training in theatrical costuming or wardrobe maintenance preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

1 – 3 years of lead or supervisory experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
