What You'll Do: DeepIntent is looking for a technology-focused Counsel to join its Legal Team. In this role, you will support the Legal Team as a business-minded attorney with experience handling data-based contracts. You will report to the Senior Vice President of Privacy and Legal Affairs and will be a critical partner and liaison for technical teams.Those with a keen business sense and a pragmatic approach will thrive in this position. DeepIntent has adopted a remote-enabled work model with HQ located in Bryant Park, New York City. We are seeking a candidate located in the tri-state New York area.
Key Responsibilities: Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, with an emphasis on data protection, data use, data licensing, and other complex technical vendor agreements; Provide overflow support for the commercial-focused agreements and processes supporting revenue-bearing projects and agreements; Identify, research, analyze, and advise teams on a wide range of relevant legal topics, such as data rights, privacy, intellectual property, consumer rights and protections, and marketing; Develop and train on contract and compliance-related topics and relevant policies, processes, and playbooks for applicable stakeholders; Identify unmet needs and future legal issues and proactively propose strategies to optimize outcomes and results for the company and manage risk; Work cross-functionally to support marketing and sales teams to identify and mitigate potential risks related to trademarks, branding, and other commercial-related issues; Review business documents for adherence to internal guidelines; and Provide general support to the Legal Team, including work on special projects tailored to the scaling needs of the business. Who You Are: Juris Doctorate from a reputable US law school required; 3+ years of experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of data-focused contracts, such as DUAs, DLAs, and DPAs required; Experience in technology, advertising, AdTech, and/or digital media strongly preferred; Team player with exceptional written and verbal communication and organization skills; Proven ability to lead and prioritize multiple projects/deadlines in a fast-paced environment; Proactive with strong analytical skills and the ability to exercise independent judgment; Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Ironclad or similar software; Potential quarterly, domestic travel; and Great sense of humor and a love of good food is a plus! DeepIntent is proud to offer a competitive compensation package inclusive of a base salary range of $130,000 -$150,000. The base salary range takes into consideration each candidates skills, experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer an annualized bonus plan and competitive benefits as well as many other company offerings.
