Your role and responsibilitiesThe Country Managing Director (CMD) will be responsible for the overall management, strategic direction, and growth of the company's operations in the United States. Reporting to the Regional Managing Director, this CMD will drive business development, operational efficiency, and financial performance. This role collaborates with the Regional Managing Director Americas to define sales budgets, targets, goals and relevant commercial strategies to achieve them in alignment with corporate objectives. For our customers, this is a crucial role in ensuring their needs are met with the highest level of satisfaction. The work model for the role is: Onsite #LI-Onsite. This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation Machine Automation division.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Ensuring the integrated commercial and operational success of the organization in order to drive business growth, market share, and achievement of organizational performance and growth objectives.Creating, implementing, reviewing, and relentlessly executing the business commercial strategy, industry segment strategy, go-to-market model and customer-focused operations strategy with responsibility for financial and non-financial targets.Ensuring a sustainable and effective value-chain, from supplier to customer and from order to delivery (products, projects, and service).Driving appropriate productivity optimization, and capital efficiency with special focus areas such as profitability, demand analysis, cost-to-serve, channel profitability and Return on Investment.Qualifications for the roleBachelor's Degree with minimum 12 years experience OR Master's Degree with minimum 10 years experience.Preferred Experience Includes:10+ years of experience in relevant industries at senior leadership roles, including country-level management.Deep understanding of the local market, business environment, and regulatory landscape.Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.Proven experience in managing P&L, driving business growth, and achieving financial targets.Up to 40% travel, mostly U.S. and Canada, occasional other international; valid driver's license and passport with no barriers to travel.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.More about usB&R Industrial Automation is a manufacturer of automation technology and ABB's global center for machine and factory automation.
