As the Creative Director, Interaction Design is responsible for directing design programs for all brands of the BMW Group as well as for a wide variety of projects in all Designworks (DW) relevant industry sectors for agency clients. You will ensure maximum design quality, project profitability, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and constant improvement of output quality regarding his/her assigned projects. You are responsible to manage and direct staff within assigned design programs and lead assigned projects and support studio management to align design deliverables and creative results to fit the strategic direction agreed to with the client from a brand, market and consumer fit, technology, experience, and feasibility point of view.
You are up to date with the latest design trends, tools, methods, and processes to clearly communicate and implement design standards and best practices. You strategically oversee style, quality, and functionality within DW projects and successfully create and integrate benchmarks and quality circles with studio management and stakeholders. With your expertise and judgment, you work to leverage DW's reputation for being a leading global creative consultancy for its cutting-edge creative concepts, innovative ideas, and world class design results.
In support of Designworks' business objectives, this position requires regular attendance at a BMW office/facility with remote work capability (hybrid).
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in interface, interaction or graphic design or design related disciplines.10+ years of prior professional leadership experience in a design division of a corporation or in a design consulting firm or agency.3 – 5 years of team leadership.Preferences:Additional Skills:Must integrate well into a multicultural team environment.Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.Solid understanding of business context (structures, market, business structures and technology implications).Must have in-depth understanding within every stage of the design process and apply innovative thinking, inspiration and leadership when directing project teams.In-depth knowledge and understanding of interface principles and design, in coordination with brand/product synergies, market research input, and financial success in design.Must be confident with design management of multiple projects integrating internal staff cross-discipline and cross-studio as well as external creative partners.Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office products.Join the Designworks team and enjoy a high-performance Total Rewards package that may include:

The selected candidate's education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule.
