Job Title:

Credentialing Analyst (240002H5)
Description:
Perform all medical and academic credentialing and re-credentialing for physicians and allied health care professionals. Responsible for assisting manager in day-to-day operations.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
Associate Degree required.
Minimum Work Experience:
3 years physician credentialing (medical and academic) experience required. Experience with VerityStream Credentialing system or equivalent software, including ability to produce detailed reports (Required).
Required Skills/Knowledge:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Knowledge of JCAHO and other regulatory requirements as they apply to credentialing required.
Ability to focus on detail and process with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask is a must.
Knowledge of Microsoft office products is a plus.
Functional Accountabilities:
Credential Activities:
Medical staff initial and re-appointments.
Interim and one-time appointments; temporary (Patient specific privileges).
Trainee appointments.
Academic appointments.
PHD, Dentists, Allied Health Professional appointments and re-appointments.
All documents filed timely and accurately.
Prepare applications.
Obtain signatures and hold for receipt of all documents.
Submit applications and send copy to Business Operations.
Respond to payors for any follow up documentation.
Credential Reviews:
Pull requested files for review.
Attend reviews as appropriate, note recommendations.
Letters of appointment or reappointment.
Letter in regard to change of status.
Communicate with providers in regard to expiring documents.
Safety:
Speak up when team members appear to exhibit unsafe behavior or performance.
Continuously validate and verify information needed for decision making or documentation.
Stop in the face of uncertainty and takes time to resolve the situation.
Demonstrate accurate, clear and timely verbal and written communication.
Actively promote safety for patients, families, visitors and co-workers.
Attend carefully to important details - practicing Stop, Think, Act and Review in order to self-check behavior and performance.
