Credentialing Specialist

Summary:  Supports departmental activities to ensure quality in conducting, maintaining, and communicating physician credentialing, privileging, and payer enrollment as assigned. Ensures all aspects of assigned provider, facility and DME credentialling (including privileging, expirable, and payer enrollment) occurs for new providers, locations and services and is maintained without interruption. 

Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000
Schedule: Mon - Friday: 8am -5pm CST Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Maintains compliance with all regulatory and accrediting institutions.Monitors expiration dates credentials, licenses, enrollments and privileges.Follows departmental and payer processes and procedures.  Manages documents and records consisting of (but not limited to) licenses, credentials, and insurance contracts.Completes application and enrollment forms as directedReleasing information as directed to agencies as required by law.Completes annual mandatory training by the due date as assigned.Performs other related duties as assigned. Education & Experience:High school diploma or GED requiredAssociate's degree in healthcare administration, business or a related field preferred.Previous administrative employment within a healthcare setting requiredExperience in payer enrollment, credentialing, privileging, or similar experience is preferredExperience with ZenDesk preferred Required Skills & Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Knowledge of all confidentiality requirements regarding patients and strict maintenance of proper confidentiality on all such information.Knowledge of medical terminology and spelling and office ethics. Physical Demands:Required to sit, stand and/or walk for long periods.Must be able to communicate with or without reasonable accommodations – speak and hear.Able to use both hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
