Role Definition Evaluates commercial loan requests by reviewing applicants' credit histories and analyzing financial statements in order to approve or deny loan applications.Responsibilities Reviews the credit history, profitability, and liquidity of clients to assess the risk level involved in credit extension or money lending.Consults with customers to verify financial and credit transactions; responds to customer inquiries and resolves customer complaints.Communicates with credit associations and other relevant authorities about the credit history of customers.Analyzes financial data to determine customers' risk profile for commercial loans; recommends approval or denial of loan applications.Skill Descriptors Finance and Accounting: Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting; ability to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.Credit Analysis and Verification: Knowledge of credit analysis and verification; ability to utilize tools and techniques to determine the credit-worthiness of an applicant.Financial Statement Analysis: Knowledge of financial statement and balance sheet; ability to analyze financial statement data and determine the credit-worthiness of a business enterprise.Loan Origination: Knowledge of the skills, methods, and technologies used to process new loan applications; ability to perform loan origination activities while adhering to established policies and procedures.Additional Information: This role is a hybrid position and would require any successful candidate to commit to a 3 day per week in office requirement.This Job Description is intended as a general guide to the job duties for this position and is intended for the purpose of establishing the specific salary grade.
