About The Position Job Title: CT Technologist Job Specialty: Computed Tomography (CT) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours, Night (Monday-Wednesday 7 PM - 7 AM) Guaranteed Hours: 40 Experience: Minimum one year of related experience License: Licensed Radiology Technologist in the state of employment Certifications: - Registry with ARRT(CT), ARRT(N), ARRT(T), or CNMT required, or State CT registry - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Must-Have: - ARRT(CT) - ARRT(N) - ARRT(T) - CNMT registry - State CT registry - Patient care skills - Proficiency in time management, imaging, documentation, and process improvement Job Description: - Provide quality patient care within the medical imaging department. - Perform high-quality imaging exams on patients while being sensitive to their needs. - Follow safe radiation practices to ensure safety for self, patients, and others. - Serve as a clinical resource and role model for other technologists. - Perform diagnostic imaging procedures and ensure ALARA radiation exposure. - Produce quality images accurately and timely. - Prepare patients for exams and provide necessary information and instructions. - Assist and position patients during exams, and monitor the patient and equipment. - Facilitate patient flow, scheduling, and optimize equipment/resource use. - Communicate with physicians, imaging personnel, students, and staff. - Assist with patient transport as needed. - Perform IV starts and contrast administration. - Handle technologist duties of other modalities as assigned. - Provide on-call coverage outside standard hours as per policy. - Correctly input charges and required data for procedures and supplies. - Complete required hospital/medical imaging paperwork for each exam. - Prepare room, equipment, and materials needed for exams. - Maintain technical operation of equipment and notify service for maintenance issues. - Maintain clean work areas and document equipment maintenance. - Identify problems proactively and follow up with management. - Establish rapport with physicians, staff, and departments. - Maintain and share a high skill level through ongoing education. - Participate in clinical training for students and staff technologists. - Engage in professional activities and participate in quality improvement initiatives. - Maintain compliance with State, Federal, accreditation, and hospital standards. - Contribute to ACR accreditation as required. - Demonstrate effective time management and proactivity in workload prioritization. - Adapt to changing technologies, policies, regulations, and staffing needs effectively. - May require floating to various locations within a specific radius or float zone. 9429743EXPPLAT Job Requirements Required for Onboarding BLS - AHA Skills Checklist Specialty Exam About Cynet Health Your travel adventure begins here.
