The Scientific Team at Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting a top material science organization near Saint Paul, MN that has an opening for a Lab Technician. Responsibilities Prepare routine and novel samples for analysis via SEM and AFM using ultramicrotomy, ion milling and other conventional techniques Perform data collection and organize into communicable reports Support product development engineer through physical property and optical testing/characterization and sample preparation Requirements Associates degree with 2 years lab expeirence in a similar role Bachelor of Science degree (physics, chemistry, material science or related) Experience with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) Experience with atomic force microscopy (AFM) Additional Details: Position Type: 1 year contract 100% onsite position Schedule: Core hours = 10am-3pm and flex around that Must be available to work 3-5 days of run coverage per month. MUST be open to off hour shifts to support this run coverage. This would be part of a 40-hour work week. Pay rate range based on experience: $24-27/hr Must be authorized to work in the United States.
