Custodian

POSITION SUMMARY:  Perform the cleaning duties to keep assigned work area(s) in a clean and orderly condition including but not limited to the men's residence hall.  May work alone or in a small crew that would include student employees.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Floor maintenance (sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, etc.)Restroom cleaning, sanitation and paper product replenishmentTrash can emptyingSetting a strong example for student employeesOther tasks as assignedREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to work with others and set an example for studentsTake initiative on projects and tasksKnowledge of or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniquesKnowledge of or willingness to learn hazards and safety methods related to custodial operationsMust be responsible to effectively complete assigned cleaning duties independentlyValid driver's license and acceptable driving recordAbility to keep time and attendance records preferredAbility to perform physical inventory of equipment and supplies preferred Required Education: High School Diploma
Required Experience: Some experience leading is preferred
