Part time position. 20-30 hours per week Monday through Friday.
Position Summary: The Custodian will be responsible for routine and special cleaning, all necessary custodial maintenance of the facility.
Duties and Responsibilities: Perform routine and special cleaning as needed throughout the building and grounds to ensure adequate sanitation, hygiene, safety, functionality and pleasing appearance as much as possible. Refer to Task List attached. Maintain all OCYFS vehicle maintenance logs; refuel vehicles weekly and obtain vehicle service as needed. Assist kitchen staff with purchasing specific supplies as requested, i.e., milk, etc. Maintain & clean annex storage area and classroom, plus garage/shop as needed to ensure consistent functionality and access. Ensure all paper products and cleaning supplies on hand and available for staff as needed. Help to ensure safety of all clients, staff and visitors with routine service or by notifying other maintenance staff of facility issues/concerns. Assist with other facility repairs or service tasks as needed and requested. Assist with maintenance tasks from the Maintenance Coordinator. Qualifications: Minimum Education and Experience: Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Pass a drug screen and maintain a current TB card. Must have a current Arkansas Driver's license and insurable under OCYFS's commercial vehicle insurance policy. Must receive child maltreatment clearance through the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry. Must receive adult maltreatment clearance through Arkansas Protective Services-Adult Maltreatment Central Registry. Must receive Arkansas State Police criminal background clearance as mandated by Arkansas Department of Human Services, Minimum Licensing Standards for Child Welfare Agencies. Skills and Knowledge: The Custodian works effectively with all agency staff members to promote a positive, productive ethical culture.
The Custodian will exhibit a general household of janitorial skills. Will have knowledge of routine chemical sanitization and adequate self-protection. Will have good organizational skills, communication skills, and practice model conflict resolution skills. Will follow OCYFS code of ethics and demonstrate cultural sensitivity to OCYFS's clients and their families.
