Position Summary:
The Customer Account Representative is responsible for managing job assignments from purchase order through manufacturing until ready for final billing.
The Customer Account Representative facilitates communication between the customer and all of Phenix's departments on all project information.
Provides quality minded efficient and prompt service to all customers, assists in retaining present work and present customers, and assists in obtaining new work and new customers.
Essential Functions:
* Perform as the primary contact between the Customers, Sales, Technical, Art, Brand Manager, Production, and, Shipping.
* Know all assigned accounts thoroughly; establish and maintain organized and complete records for all customer projects.
Keep customer account profiles up-to-date.
* Provide support to assigned Senior Sales Executive(s) and Customers during the quoting/estimating processes.
* Manage the Sales Orders from purchase order to delivery, and assist with the billing process of all assigned accounts for new and repeat orders.
Communicate regular and reliable information to the customers.
* Ensure accuracy on all orders so that orders flow efficiently and effectively; communicate all customer changes to affected groups to insure correct and timely alterations in costing, pricing, materials, production, and shipping.
* Provide all necessary job information to Accounting to ensure accurate and timely billing of jobs.
* Maintain detailed technical knowledge of Phenix's manufacturing capabilities and continuously develop knowledge on the changes and advancements of the label and packaging industries.
* Obtain a working knowledge of the customers' requirements and specifications.
* Perform inventory management duties for stocking and non-stocking products.
* Ensure accuracy on all monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for Products Created, Aged Inventory, and Sales Data that is required by Phenix and of the Customer.
* Cross train with assigned Senior Sales Executive(s) and develop back-up support.
* Attend and actively participate in department's PBL meetings.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Preferred 2+ years of previous customer service and/or printing experience.
* Preferred 4 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Individual must be able to handle administrative activities, maintain records, reports, and files.
* Candidate should possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Candidate should be proficient with basic computer skills including being able to develop spreadsheets for data analysis.
* Individual must be able to work independently with minimal guidance required.
* Individual must be able to interact effectively with a wide variety of people, maintaining flexibility, objectivity, and a capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Candidate should possess a strong work ethic, time management skills, troubleshooting skills, a positive attitude, and be detail oriented.
Additionally good follow through, good planning/organizations skills, and decision-making skills are a must as well.
* Individual must be able to act in a professional and respectful manner to all internal and external customers at all times.
* Participation and support of the company mission statement, five core values, and 5S initiatives and activities.
* Individual must be able to complete any reasonable request of management necessary to effectively operate the department/company.
* English language required.
Physical and Other Requirements:
This job is performed indoors in a temperature and humidity controlled environment.
Job tasks are performed in close proximity to other people and, when entering the adjacent manufacturing plant, include exposure to strobe lights, sounds and noise levels that are distracting.
The employee is occasionally required to stand, stoop, walk and bend.
The employee must frequently sit, talk, listen, and lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Requires use of hands to handle, control or feel objects and operate computer and other office-related equipment.
