Full job description and responsibilities: Customer Service: Exceptional customer service orientation facilitating the creation of memorable everyday experiences for our Customers: both children and their parents. Understand our customers' inquiries and needs and provide clear, concise, and helpful responses.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills enabling connection with customers in person, over the phone, and via email. Take, record, and relay messages and notes accurately, completely, and legibly both manually and in our computer systems. Be able to communicate with appropriate urgency and tone ensuring that all customer's questions and requests are completed and followed up on in a professional and friendly manner. Effectively handle any customer concerns and understand when to escalate issues to gym leadership.
Administration: Maintain confidentiality of all guests and company information. Strong work performance both in the team and independent settings. Be accountable for role responsibilities and high-quality standards. Learn and become an expert in our class management system where you will enroll, wait for lists, level approve, and bill customers among other things. Ability to balance multiple priorities and effectively handle changing situations. Ability to multi-task in busy, often noisy environments. Physical Demands: Ability to move through the 24,000 sq ft facility, including gym areas that are full of equipment. Ability, if needed, to reach, lift, carry, push, or pull small equipment and/or furniture up to 40 pounds. May require extended stationary positions during rush hours. Miscellaneous: Maintain a clean, hygienic, and well-organized environment in all public areas throughout the shift. Ability to reinforce lobby etiquette (e.g., no climbing on furniture, no practice in the lobby, etc.). Work well with children (e.g., from time to time you may need to walk and direct students to their classes, washrooms, or water fountains, and provide Band-Aids, ice packs, and tissues). You will be responsible for helping to maintain a safe comfortable space for all of the children within our facilities. This position will report to a General Manager or the Administrative Staff Leader. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or 2 years of experience in customer service or social work preferred Exceptional customer service: active listening, strong verbal and written communication skills, professional phone demeanor Proficiency with computers, including familiarity and comfort with word processing and spreadsheet software Ability to diffuse tense situations Strong time management and decision-making skills Adaptability and accountability Understanding of company services and policies Main Location: 2500 C W. Job Type: Full-time and Part-time available
Compensation: $18 - $25/hour, dependent on skills, abilities, and performance
