Customs Reconciliation and Post Entry SpecialistFull-timeTradewin is a leading international trade compliance consulting firm. We provide consultation and services that help companies become compliant with import and export laws and regulations. We also help clients find and implement opportunities to reduce costs, improve cycle times, minimize customs duties and enhance the visibility and security of their supply chains. The complex issues that international companies need to address both before and after cargo physically moves are our specialty. Our employees provide key services including HTS classification, duty drawback, reconciliation, import and export compliance assessment, duty recovery and minimization, and C-TPAT/supply chain security program implementation. In short, we help our clients achieve faster, safer, and more cost-effective trade.
Position Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated person who enjoys a fast-paced, professional & dynamic work environment to fill this full-time position for an Entry to Mid-Level consultant. This is an office-based role that will support colleagues and team members locally and across the Tradewin network.
Qualifications: Proven excellence in communication skills – both verbal and writtenAbility to research complex regulatory subjects independently and in conjunction with peersStrong technical and persuasive writing skills.Some college level Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics preferredAbility to work within environment of demanding deadlinesStrong knowledge of Microsoft applicationsComfort with reviewing, manipulating, and auditing data in Excel or AccessMust be flexible and able adapt to rapidly changing workloads and competing prioritizationsSuperior planning and organizational skills, must be able to multi-task and be a self-starterPrevious experience with Trade Compliance, Customs Brokerage, Post Entry submission and/or Customs Reconciliation Entry process preferredKey Responsibilities: Build and maintain relationships with clients through proactive email and verbal communicationsResearch, compile and prepare regulatory documents as required by US Customs and Border Protection to support the Reconciliation and Post Entry filing processes using Excel, Word, and Acrobat.Use of ACE data, including working directly in ACE to run, create, or review reports, or as may be provided by clients.Attend required training sessions to learn more about potential regulatory changes that affect daily tasksPrepare Post Entry submissions including Post Summary Corrections, Protests, Prior Disclosures, Reconciliations, as may be assignedIndependently research, analyze and interpret complex procedures or regulations and write technically relevant correspondence and procedural documents for internal and/or external audiences.Conduct spreadsheet analysis to validate duty and fees calculationsTeam collaboration and brainstorming to enhance client experience and suggest efficiencies.Additional Information: Design, develop and deploy programs based upon best-in-class trade and regulatory consultingCollaborate in the design of the programs with Principals and GMs for what is best for the Tradewin networkDevelop, implement and improve Business Review cycles for key accountsBuild, develop, and mentor the staffPrepare, execute, monitor and update at regular intervals the business plan for the programInstill and foster a climate of compliance at all times to regulation, including internal policies & proceduresEnsure processes/procedures are in place to be followed through peer review, file audits and classification samplingEnsure the program adapts to the changing regulatory landscapeBenefits: Paid Vacation, Holiday, Sick TimeHealth Plan: Medical, Prescription Drug, Dental and VisionLife and Long Term Disability Insurance401(k) Retirement Savings Plan (US only)Employee Stock Purchase PlanTraining and Personnel Development ProgramAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
