Performs a variety of highly specialized cardiac, vascular, or interventional procedures that require independent judgment to apply prescribed techniques to obtain the best possible diagnostic and therapeutic results. This position requires age related competencies. CCSS: The Cardiovascular Technologists assumes responsibility for interpreting diagnostic and interventional procedures performed in the Heart Cath Lab in order that data be obtained and entered into the CCSS database. May exert up to 25lbs-push/pulling force up to 20% of working day. May utilize computer up to 50% of time. Required wearing lead apron, up to 15 lb., for 1-2 hours. Must have full range of motion in all extremities. Must be able to see and hear in order to communicate. Must be able to see, read, and write in order to perform job duties and access pt needs. Must be able to lift patients of various weights and lift loads up to 40lbs. ACLS certification within 90 days of hire (cath lab only).• Cardiovascular/Interventional experience preferred.• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (written/verbal).
