Provides surgical first assisting under the direct supervision of the surgeon.**Qualifications****Minimum**+ Associate degree of Nursing or foreign equivalent+ Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) program+ Valid compact state or Arizona RN license+ Current Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certificate,+ American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support+ American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider+ Demonstrates competency in basic EKG skills by passing EKG test or successfully completing basic EKG class/modules within six months of position+ Ability to explain treatments and conditions to patients and their families.+ Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations.+ Basic computer literacy and proficiency.**Preferred**+ Bachelor degree of Nursing or foreign equivalent+ Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) certificate+ Electronic medical record experience; Cerner strongly preferredPlease be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire.
