CVP of Corporate DevelopmentThe CVP of Corporate Development will be responsible for supporting all activities relating to enterprise and business strategic investments, partnerships, M&A, and related activity including:
Developing enterprise and business corporate development strategy that is aligned with their respective strategic prioritiesFundamental research, data gathering and analysis of sectors, products, and businesses in support of strategy and corporate development processIdentifying and sourcing of potential targets and strategic partnersSupporting relationships with banks, other advisors, and potential counterpartiesOrganizing and performing due diligenceDeveloping internal capabilities to execute corporate development and M&A initiatives, including producing appropriate playbooksCoordinating with external resources that can support due diligence efforts as neededDetermining appropriate valuation and impact on key enterprise and business metricsDeveloping communications to senior management and Board on strategy and merits / considerations of specific opportunitiesPost-agreement integration planning and executionResponsibilitiesDrive all aspects of corporate development process from start to finishHelp identify potential prospects & targetsManage project timing and deliverables with multiple constituentsIdentify and mitigate risks to project and workflowEstablish collaborative and productive teamwork with multiple project constituentsSource, process and analyze financial and other dataBuild, error check and apply financial modelsAnalyze and draw insights from GAAP and statutory financial statementsCreate memos, presentations, and other materialsCoordinate teams in due diligence including working with business units and enterprise functionsSupport internal alignment and issue resolution on a transactionCoordinate with subject matter experts (actuarial, legal, finance, tax etc.
)Lead post-closing activityPreferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree, MBA preferred5+ years of work experience in a business or technical field2+ years of corporate development or investment banking experience in U.S. life insuranceHighly motivatedStrong financial and analytical skillsTeam playerStrong ability to influence without direct authorityAbility to drive multiple prioritiesProactive and collaborativePay Transparency Salary Range: $155,000-$267,500
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location.
Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
