The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents to safeguard our organization's information systems. You will collaborate with other security professionals to analyze threats, investigate incidents, and implement robust security measures. Key Responsibilities: Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Sentinel, Splunk, Chronicle). Analyze and investigate security incidents, assess their impact, and recommend remediation actions. Document and report security incidents to management in a clear and detailed manner. Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and intelligence trends. Assist in staff education by participating in security awareness training. Help with compliance audits and maintain documentation for security policies and procedures. Proactively conduct threat hunting to identify and address potential security risks. Maintain and update incident response procedures and plans. Collaborate with IT teams to enhance overall security posture and improve incident response capabilities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Networking, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience in a SOC or similar cybersecurity role. Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel, Chronicle) and endpoint security solutions. Solid understanding of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS systems. Knowledge of security standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, PCI, HIPPA, GDPR, CCPA, ISO 27001). Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) are a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Additional Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in cyber security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Certifications such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and CEH are highly desirable. Experience with vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Burp Suite) and penetration testing frameworks. Strong knowledge of networking protocols, security controls, and ethical hacking techniques. Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and application security practices. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
