Prepares cell samples for microscopic examination by making smears of cell samples and staining the slides. Performs a microscopic examination of the slides to detect cellular change and prepares initial findings. Routes preliminary findings to Pathologist for final diagnosis of disease.This is an enterprise position. Will be expected, as needed, to accept work assignments across departments or El Camino Hospital campuses (Mountain View and Los Gatos) or locations within a 15-mile radius. QUALIFICATIONS1. Minimum of two (2) years University and above course work. 2. Completion of Cytology curriculum in an ASCP approved School of Cytotechnology. 3. Valid State of California license for cytotechnologists.4. Five (5) years experience as a cytotechnologist. 5.
