We are currently seeking a skilled HTST Operator to join our team and contribute to the ongoing success of our facility in Frederick Country, Virginia ! About the Role As a HTST (High-Temperature Short-Time) Operator at our yogurt processing facility, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the HTST pasteurization equipment used in the yogurt production process. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HTST systems, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and safety standards. Responsibilities Operation of HTST Equipment: Operate and monitor the HTST pasteurization system to ensure proper heating, holding, and cooling of milk according to established protocols and quality standards. Monitoring and Control: Continuously check and adjust system parameters, including temperature, pressure, and flow rates, to maintain optimal conditions for pasteurization. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks on pasteurized product samples to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Document and report any deviations or irregularities. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on HTST equipment. Identify and report major mechanical issues to the maintenance team. Sanitation: Follow strict sanitation procedures to ensure cleanliness of the HTST system and surrounding work areas. Participate in cleaning and sanitizing tasks as needed. Compliance: Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental regulations. Ensure that all processes comply with company policies and industry standards. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of operational parameters, maintenance activities, and quality control tests. Prepare reports as required. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or vocational training is a plus. Minimum 1-year experience operating HTST pasteurization systems or similar industrial equipment in a food or dairy manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Understanding of pasteurization processes, dairy production, and food safety regulations. Strong focus on detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify and correct potential issues promptly.
