Maintains up-to-date tools for analysis of local geographic databases that assist the Health and Humans Services data; Monitors and updates GIS information, which includes, but not limited to, identifying and accurately coding health data.
Provides analysis and reporting, support and troubleshooting of database applications; Monitors and ensures the integrity of health data through data extraction, storage, processing, and analytics.
Generates and provides accurate and meaningful data and reports for all levels of the organization, candidates, and the public.
Assists with producing and presenting reconciled health data and result information in compliance with HIPPA rules and statutes.
Assists in fulfilling internal and external data requests by providing geographic data, maps, dashboards, and other deliverables.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma/GED; 2 years of technical school and/or specialized training in Public Health or geographic databases.
3 years job related experience in public health field.
Ability to use ArcGIS Software; Ability to understand metes and bounds descriptions; Knowledge of NEDSS and health-related data; Knowledge of data cleaning methods and procedure.
Strong computer hardware and software technical expertise; working knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and database reporting software.
Good verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with others.
Organizational skills and ability to complete assigned tasks within deadlines and to prioritize work.
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $20.10 - $25.13 hourly based on qualifications
CLOSING DATE: Upon filling position
