The Data Analyst will review ANSI Z21.47, ASHRAE 103 and 193 test data for accuracy before submitting it to Engineer or DE Managers. The Analyst will collaborate with lab supervisor for any data inconsistencies or test setup/procedure issues with recommended corrective actions. The Analyst will assist in training engineers new to the ANSI Z21.47, ASHRAE 103 and 193 test protocols and procedures.
Responsibilities may include: Make recommendations on performing routine and non-routine lab tests according to specifications.Ensure accuracy of test data being generated and submitted to Design Engineering.Take directions from Manager/Director to ensure optimal applications of technology and engineering resources to meet product and customer requirements.Coordinate with members of Design Engineering team and lab team to ensure effective, accurate testing.Aid in present process improvements and future process design ideas.Ensure accuracy of and sign off on all test reports prior to submitting to agency for Authorization to Mark.Participate in additional projects/activities to support ongoing business needs.Nature & Scope: Applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.Manages projects and processes while working independently and with limited supervision.Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals.Knowledge & Skills: Should have working knowledge of HVAC System design.Must have expertise in the ANSI Z21.47, ASHRAE 103 and 193 standards.Must be familiar with Mechanical manufacturing processes and fabrication techniques.Strong working knowledge of MS Office – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and database applications.High level of attention to detail, excellent data analysis skills.Ability to troubleshoot, excellent problem-solving skills, identify solutions.HVAC industry experience preferred.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, required.Experience: 5 Years or more experience required to include these key areas:Experience in ISO 17025 certified lab environment required.Knowledge of HVAC safety and governing standards required.Intertek or CSA certification in ANSI Z21.47 testing required.Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.Associate's degree in engineering (Mechanical/Design/Electronics) required or 5 years equivalent work experience.People Management: No
