Position Overview:As a Data Analytics Intern at CoStar Group in Richmond, VA, you will be an integral part of our experienced team of analysts. This 10-week project-based internship provides a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful projects, applying strategic thinking, problem-solving, and data analytics skills. As a member of one of our analyst teams, you will work on real problems that CoStar Group is facing, gaining hands-on experience in analyzing market trends, identifying business opportunities, and supporting strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Analysis:Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to commercial real estate markets. Utilize strong analytical skills to process and organize large datasets.

Research and Decision Support:Conduct research and gather information to support strategic decision-making processes. Contribute to the preparation of reports, presentations, and visualizations to effectively communicate insights to internal stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various projects and initiatives. Contribute to process improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions.

Industry Insight:Stay updated on industry trends and developments to provide valuable insights and recommendations.

Data System Analysis:Identify trends and generate insights by conducting routine analyses of various data systems. Communicate key findings to various stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decision-making or storytelling. Recognize key metrics and build models to track the progress of the agency's metrics and its highest priority initiatives. Aggregate data from various sources.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computational Modeling, or a related field at a four-year accredited, in-person institution. Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0. Course experience in Real Estate and/or Finance a plus.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and interpret large datasets.

Experience working with SQL and R/Python; preferred experience with PowerBI and Excel.

Familiarity with data forecasting and data visualization techniques.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Interest or experience in real estate.
