We are seeking an experienced and innovative Data Architect to join our team in Austin, Texas. You will be reporting into the Director of Data Engineering. You will have a strong emphasis on data modeling, SQL, NoSQL, system architecture, and a passion for scaling data infrastructure. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions that support our growing business needs.
How you will make an impactEvolving our infrastructure, patterns and tooling with a specific focus on high throughput, reliable and idempotent pipelinesEnsuring the business receives, processes, transmits high quality data which will underpin all data science and reporting needsDesign and own the data models for the product application as well as analytical modelsDesign and own the build and maintenance of efficient and scalable data models to meet business requirements (product application & analytical)Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and drive alignment with business objectivesArchitect and build robust and scalable data systems to support the organization's growthEvaluate and recommend appropriate technologies for different components of the data infrastructureEstablish and enforce data engineering standards, coding conventions, and best practicesPlay a key role in establishing a data governance framework and committee to enable and empower the organization in leveraging data assets; in adherence with industry regulationsDevelop and maintain data pipelines built on top of variations of python & SQLCreate clear and comprehensive documentation, including data models, architecture diagrams, and data workflowsMentor members of the data engineering team and provide guidance on best practicesWhat we are looking forBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field5 - 10 years experience as a data engineer with a focus on modeling, SQL, NoSQL, and system architectureStrong proficiency in Python and experience with data processing frameworksExperience with code reviews, version control, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiencesPrevious experience in a senior or lead data engineering roleUnderstanding of data governance and complianceNomi's journey is just starting in delivering disruptive healthcare solutions, in partnership with like-minded employers, public sector organizations, advisors (brokers/consultants), and payers/TPAs.
