We are seeking a Data Architect for our growing Data Management practice. In this role, you will be responsible for delivery excellence for large-scale data projects. You will be engaged in data modeling and architecture efforts on data projects for our clients.
What you will be doing Create and maintain Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) using tools such as Erwin, SQL DBM, and Lucid.Deliver silver and gold layer data models to refine raw data into clean, structured, and aggregated layers for analysis and reporting.Develop conceptual data models that provide high-level representations of the data warehouse structure.Translate business requirements into detailed logical data models, defining entities, relationships, and attributes.Design physical data models, specifying how data will be stored in databases (tables, columns, indexes, constraints).Establish and enforce data modeling standards, best practices, and procedures for enterprise-level data models.Create source-to-target data mapping documents to define data flow and transformation rules between systems and models.Conduct data analysis and data mining to uncover insights, patterns, and trends in large datasets.Utilize SQL to query databases, optimize queries, and support data extraction and transformation processes.Manage and leverage metadata management and data modeling tools, including Erwin, ER Studio, and SQL DBM.Collaborate with teams working on data warehouses, data lakes, lake houses, and enterprise cloud platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake.What we are looking for 10+ years in data-related roles. 5+ years as a Data Architect.Proven experience in data modeling, data architecture, and data lakehouse design.Proficiency with data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, SQL DBM, Lucid, ER Studio).Strong SQL skills for data querying, extraction, and transformation.Must have working experience with cloud data platforms (i.e., Databricks, Azure, Snowflake).Ability to translate complex business requirements into structured data models.Experience in IT consulting is a plus.Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.Additional information Employment type: Long-term full-time role.Location: Prefer candidates located in Minneapolis or Kansas City. Occasionally visiting the offices at Minneapolis or Kansas City might be required.Requirements: must be authorized to work legally in the US without sponsorship, now or in the future.
