We are actively looking for a Cost Manager to support our Data Center construction projects.
\n Responsibilities:Support the Project Team through each stage of the project lifecycle.Setup, maintain and control project budgets through each stage of the project lifecycle. Create, review, improve and present project level reporting with in-depth analysis of cost, changes, trends and KPIs.Analyze project costs to ensure that project funding is adequate by performing estimates, cashflows, cost trend analysis, and monthly accruals of actual costs vs work performed. Assist with change control, change management and control/tracking of total project costs (General Contractors, 3rd Party Vendors, and Professional Services).Develop and review cost estimates for civil, structural, architectural, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical disciplines within the project parameters.Create and review labor, material, and equipment cost estimates / change orders during each stage of the project lifecycle including design, procurement, construction and closeout.Review potential change orders and negotiate costs on behalf of client standards and priorities. Complete cost validation and quantity surveying QS as needed.Work closely with the project schedulers to understand major milestones, schedule shifts and/or delays and reflect cost impacts where present. Articulate and report on cost variance as it relates to schedule changes, scope changes, business decisions or other impacts. Reconcile program and project controls data with the client's fiscal and financial controls systems.Monitor, review and analyze SOX or other audit compliance processes and documents as needed. Identify, assess and monitor risk through communications with the project team and make recommendations/gain consensus to reduce impacts.Create, improve, analyze and present cost and other program KPIs to senior staff, clients and other stakeholders. Perform ad-hoc requests for analysis, creation, improvement, training and presentation as it relates to cost, schedule, risk, KPIs or other program indicators. Partner collaboratively with cross-functional teams (design engineering, construction, cost controls functions, scheduling, finance, etc.) to understand requirements and ensure alignment to scope, schedule, and budget.Understand the key aspects of legacy and modern data center construction systems and apply this knowledge to identify improvement areas of cashflow forecasting, variance reduction and KPIs in existing and next-generation data center.Design, advise and/or implement processes related to cost control, change management, progress and performance reporting.Be proactive in looking for ways to improve the delivery of our services to our Clients.Foster teamwork Requirements:5-10+ years of relevant experience 5+ years of Cost Controls / Quantity Surveying in Data Centers or other critical deployments. Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Economics, Finance) or other applicable degree or experienceExperience working with highly complex projects.Knowledgeable in principles of construction / project management.Proven ability to multi-task in a high volume, time sensitive and deadline driven environment.Strong organization, documentation, computer and communication skills.Proficient with the following software: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Teams and Outlook.Focus on Health and Safety. Qualifications:Professional relevant industry certifications and licenses (PMP, PMI, CCM, QS, etc)RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) Successful at managing team and stakeholder expectations.Ability to suggest process improvements.Experience with large scale Data Center programs.5+ years experience on fast paced deadline driven environment.
