We are actively looking for a Cost Manager to support our Data Center construction projects.
THE WORK:You'll lead the initial planning stages of civil construction projects by collaborating with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Develop comprehensive descriptions of job tasks and material requirements necessary to successfully complete the project.You'll schedule and coordinate construction activities in a logical sequence, ensuring that deadlines are met and that all resources are effectively allocated to maintain project progress.You'll prepare and submit detailed budget estimates, regularly monitor project costs, and communicate budget progress to clients, ensuring financial alignment with project goals.You'll ensure that construction projects stay within budget. When unforeseen complications arise, make timely and necessary adjustments to mitigate cost overruns and ensure project completion within financial constraints.You'll plan, coordinate, organize, and direct activities related to the construction and maintenance of assigned civil structures, facilities, and systems, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project specifications.You'll ensure that safety standards, guidelines, and codes are strictly followed on the jobsite, prioritizing a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.You'll oversee the negotiation, revision, and adherence to contracts, ensuring that all parties comply with agreed terms and conditions throughout the project lifecycle.You'll collaborate with clients, supervisory staff, contractors, and design professionals to address and resolve any issues, including work procedures, complaints, construction challenges, or design discrepancies.You'll lead actions necessary to address delays, adverse weather conditions, or emergencies on the jobsite, ensuring that projects remain on track and that safety and quality standards are maintained.You'll foster and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including owners, managers, designers, supervisors, contractors, and craft workers, to ensure effective communication and teamwork throughout the project.Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:Bachelor's degree in construction science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Economics or FinanceMinimum of five (5) years' of relevant experience.Minimum of five (5) years' of cost controls/quantity surveying in Data Centers or other critical deployments.Minimum of five (5) years' of experience working with highly complex projects.Minimum of five (5) years' of knowledge in principles of construction/project management.BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:Professional relevant industry certifications and licenses (PMP, PMI, CCM, QS, etc).RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors).Successful at managing team and stakeholder expectations.Ability to suggest process improvements.Experience with large scale Data Center programs.5+ years experience on fast paced deadline driven environment.$120,000 - $140,000 a year
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, New York or Washington as set forth.
