Data Center Support Technician

Description: The Data Center Support Technician role involves day-to-day support activities such as server and network hardware installation, cabling, troubleshooting, and asset management.
This position requires monitoring and responding to hardware and software issues, along with participating in the change management process.
The role also involves joining an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Required Experience: 2 years Rack and Stack experience OS provisioning/reprovisioning Basic Linux and scripting experience DNS/DHCP Experience with O365 software desired Knowledge of ITSM / DCIM workflow management system(s) Working knowledge of server hardware and basic networking components and protocols Understanding of data center practices Cable management skills and experience running fiber and copper Basic understanding of electrical, HVAC, and cable infrastructure Certifications (preferred): CCNA, CCENT, CompTIA Server, ITIL Other Abilities/Skills: Able to lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds Able to be on feet majority of workday Fluency in both written and spoken English Must provide own transportation to work location(s) Must be able to respond to on-call requests within 1 hour Able to operate material handling equipment if certified Strong proclivity towards multitasking and adaptivity Must be punctual, reliable, and have good organization skills
