JOB DESCRIPTION

PART TIME DATA COLLECTION ASSOCIATE

REMOTE – Must be in NYC Area

3-12+ Month Contract

Responsibilities:

Perform basic data collection duties, such as setting up a computer and video recorder, completing log sheets, transferring and uploading collected data, and adhering to security measures to protect the data during collection and during transfer.
Follow all instructions diligently and comply with study protocols in order to allow for the collection of quality data.
Troubleshoot equipment problems at home alongside virtual technical support.
Complete data collection projects in a timely fashion.
Participate in all activities designed to maintain data reliability/integrity, and attend trainings and other scheduled meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be 18 years of age or older.
High school diploma or equivalent

Proficient in spoken and written English

Authorized to work in the U.S.

Reside in close proximity to NYC metro area (mileage TBD) and able to commute to NYC once/twice a month.
Experience working with computers, such as navigating between applications, installing software, and troubleshooting issues.
Private and secure, in-home internet access.
Capable of following oral and written instructions (in person or over recorded or live video conferencing).
Capable of sitting in front of a computer screen and reading text and following instructions on the screen for the duration of the data collection.
Able to efficiently complete projects with diligence.
Able to grip or touch objects with your hands.
Able to see with normal visual acuity with or without corrective lenses.
preferred qualifications:

Familiarity with Windows navigation and commands.
Typing expertise and ability to type with 10 fingers without looking at your hands.
An undergraduate student in college/university OR a bachelor's degree.
Proficiency in software applications such as - Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
Previous experience with observational research data collection in a laboratory setting.
