Job Summary: The Computer Operator II will be responsible for performing complex data entry and database management tasks to ensure the accuracy and currency of medical information in the Medical Readiness Protection System (MEDPROS) and other applicable medical databases for the Ohio Army National Guard (OHARNG) Soldiers. This role involves maintaining data integrity, generating reports, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Data Entry and Database Maintenance:Input, maintain, and update medical data in the MEDPROS database.Detect, correct, and code data to ensure compatibility with entry systems and procedural requirements.Review and update current information in both paper and electronic data files for OHARNG Soldiers.Maintain online data files, audit for errors, and perform necessary data purges.Report Generation:Prepare and provide accurate reports in compliance with Army Command drilldown items in MEDPROS, including but not limited to immunizations, individual and unit readiness, HIV, DNA, Dental, and pre/post Deployment Health Assessments.Respond to and resolve inquiries related to drilldown information with prior approval from the Government POC.Data Integrity and Security:Ensure strict confidentiality and security of service member records, in compliance with HIPAA and Privacy Act requirements.Extract and release information according to specific criteria while adhering to established policies, procedures, and regulations.Support Tasks:Provide scanning and indexing support for the Web-based online Health Readiness Record (HRR).Review, scan, and index medical records for newly accessed Soldiers into the OHARNG.Assist in the preparation and data entry for Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) and provide accurate data for medical readiness evaluations.Compliance and Training:Comply with the command's Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) for Government-owned IS, and complete annual Information Assurance (IA) training.Ensure completion of AT Level 1 Awareness Training, OPSEC Training, and other mandatory security and compliance training as directed.System and IT Security:Abide by all Government regulations concerning the use of Government computer networks, including restrictions against unauthorized activities. Qualifications: Educational Background:High school diploma or equivalent.Experience:A minimum of one year in medical or administrative database entry.Demonstrated abilities in data management, accounting, or recordkeeping.Previous experience with MEDPROS and familiarity with military medical readiness requirements is highly desirable.Technical Skills:Proficient in Windows 10 or later, Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook/Exchange), and SharePoint.Ability to manipulate data, recognize patterns, and produce comprehensive reports.Additional Skills:Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, organize, and meet deadlines.Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Security Clearance:Must have or be able to obtain a favorable background investigation, including an FBI fingerprint check.Ability to comply with CAC issuance requirements and maintain appropriate security clearances as required by the Department of Defense Crossroads Talent Solutions, LLC is a Veteran friendly employer and provides equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability status, genetic information, marital status, ancestry, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, and local laws.
