(1099 Contract to Hire: 06/17/2024 - 10/31/2024; FTE Employment would be with VITA Directly) Summary Our client is is a leading application Engineering Consulting firm in the Washington, D.C. metro region specializing in Management Services, Technology Solutions and Facilities Services. They partner with and assist Federal, State and local government agencies; private sector Energy Services Companies (ESCOs); and Commercial entities in the design and implementation of their various Engineering and Technology related projects. Additionally, they are able to leverage an engineering team with proven technology industry experience that resulted in multi-million-dollar contracts within federal government, state & local government clients!
Responsibilities Our client is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to join their team! This role involves developing and implementing data quality standards and processes, as well as assisting in data reconciliation and validation checks across various systems. The candidate must demonstrate experience in these areas on their resume and be able to discuss this experience in an interview if requested.
Analyze data to provide insights for decision-making Create and operationalize data policy, and develop KPIs in support of data policy Support the implementation of data governance processes Monitor and ensure data quality and integrity Develop and implement data quality standards and processes Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure data integration and consistency Maintain a repository of data governance policies, procedures, and standards with appropriate version control Work with the Data Governance Manager during the onboarding of new applications under governance and provide support during operationalization Provide support to Data Governance Stewards during data profiling activities Assist in data reconciliation and validation checks across various systems Develop initial proof of concepts for data that needs to be merged from multiple systems and define the business benefits of moving towards a consolidated source Assist in documenting data lineage/data flows Assist in capturing business glossary/data dictionary and metadata lineage information Work with IT teams to enforce ILM processes and procedures Requirements 10+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or related fields Demonstrated experience developing and implementing data quality standards and processes Experience assisting in data reconciliation and validation checks across various systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Education/Certification Requirements None Drivers License Requirements Applicants selected must have an appropriate driver's license valid in the Commonwealth of Virginia Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
