We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to join our innovative team, working on cross-functional stable pods within an agile environment.
As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and roadmap for assigned product pods, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
Collaboration across the organization will be key to delivering high quality products that drive value.
Essential Functions: Percentage of Time: Product Strategy and Planning 15% Work with the Product Manager to define and communicate the product vision, goals and roadmap.
Ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
Create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap that outlines key milestones, deliverables, and release schedules for product pods.
Inform product decisions, identify opportunities and help prioritize work by understanding your product deeply and by using data to make informed decisions.
Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, user feedback and trends to evaluate the impacts and success of product.
Backlog Management 35% Prioritize and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it is up to date, reflects current priorities, and is aligned with the overall product strategy.
Develop and refine user stories, acceptance criteria and ensure the backlog items are ready for development.
Regularly review and adjust backlog priorities based on stakeholder feedback and team capacity.
Manage the product backlog, grooming, refining, and prioritizing the product backlog.
Ensure the backlog items are well-defined, estimated, and ready for implementation, maintaining a balance between short-term and long-term goals.
Stakeholder Collaboration 25% Conduct regular stakeholder meetings and presentations to keep all parties informed about product progress, challenges, and upcoming plans.
Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, development teams, and other relevant parties, ensuring alignment on priorities and objectives.
Solicit feedback from stakeholders and customers to inform product decisions and enhancements, fostering a customer centric approach.
Collaborate with the scrum master and development team to resolve impediments and ensure smooth sprint execution.
Sprint Planning and Review 25% Lead or participate in sprint planning sessions to define sprint goals, review backlog items and ensure the team understands the priorities and expectations.
Actively participate in sprint reviews and retrospectives to assess progress, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement in both the product and process.
Collaborate with agile development partners, including engineers, designers, quality assurance to deliver MVPS and features in an iterative approach.

Education and Experience Required: Diploma/Degree & Experience Bachelor's Degree required.
3 years Product Owner or related work experience required.
2-3 years of Commercial Property and Casualty insurance experience required.
Experience with Agile development methodologies
