Data Protection and Privacy – Associate Director (Data Risk Response) Ethics, Compliance, and Risk Management (ECRM) supports our people in managing the risks that arise during our daily working lives. We work closely with all parts of the organization to identify, manage and monitor risk, providing coordinated advice and assistance on independence, conflicts, compliance, regulatory, policy, security issues, as well as dealing with claims and any queries regarding ethics.

Your key responsibilities As part of EY Americas Data Protection function, you will assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of various activities within the Data Protection program. The position involves managing the firm's confidential and personal information inventory and data subject rights request process. You will serve as the primary point of contact for EY client servicing teams regarding data incidents and help with interpreting data protection and privacy laws and policies.
Skills and attributes for success Drives the strategic definition and execution of Data Risk Response activities within the Americas Data Protection function.Leads the maintenance of EY confidential and personal information inventory, in partnership with EY internal functions and service lines.Oversees and coordinates the firm's response to data incidents.Responds to data subject rights (DSR) and internal data access requests.Collaborates with EY Information Security functions to design and implement controls.Assists other functions of the Data Protection program, including promoting compliance with new and/or revised applicable data protection laws.Interacts with various stakeholders and functions across the organization.Maintains and expands current knowledge of field of expertise.Advises Americas regions outside of the US on data risk mitigation strategies.Leads complex projects and works independently.To qualify for the role you must have 7-10 plus years related experience.Strong verbal and written communications skills.Solid understanding of relevant firm business and area-wide data protection issues.Strong project management and problem-solving skills.High degree of cultural and emotional intelligence.Strong organizational skills.Ability to train and supervise local or virtual teams.What working at EY offers We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business.
