Position Summary Support data management/analytical duties necessary to evaluate health care programs for public/private stakeholders. Clean, manage and validate independent data sets to build analytic files comprised of administrative health care data (billing claims/encounter), enrollment data, clinical/assessment data, census data, or other data (ex. National data sets). Execute statistical analyses. Participate with scholarly writing and presentation.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing one or two years of post-bachelor degree work, such as a Master's in Biostatistics/Statistics, Epidemiology, Research Methodology or related field; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in research design, statistical methods and knowledge of statistical software and programming languages; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications Completed master's degree; experience executing statistical methods; study design training; experience with SAS/SQL/STATA/R/Qualtrics programming, surveillance/longitudinal data collection and reporting; managing and analyzing large datasets with administrative health care, census, vital records, and other data; experience working with health care evaluation projects involving multi-disciplinary stakeholders; strong communication skills; ability to manage many projects at the same time; experience presenting scientific papers and posters; experience contributing to manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications; proven ability to be successful working independently and in a team environment.
