Our client, a prominent player in the field of data science and analytics, is seeking a Data Science Engineering Associate to join their team. As part of a dedicated group focused on leveraging advanced analytics and statistical methods, you will collaborate with a team of experts to drive operational efficiencies and identify new value sources.
Responsibilities: Design and build a robust data science infrastructure platform aimed at enhancing the adoption of data science across portfolio companies.Lead in the design and implementation of cloud architecture, data engineering infrastructure, and AI modeling best practices.Collaborate closely with both the Portfolio Operations Blackstone Data Science team and the Blackstone Technology Innovations group to scale core infrastructure.Develop data science applications utilizing cutting-edge cloud technologies and modeling techniques.Implement software engineering best practices to convert ad hoc analyses into production-quality code.Act as a technical lead on projects, effectively communicating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, data science, or engineering.3+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, data engineering, or development operations.Proficiency in programming languages including Python and SQL, with experience in strongly typed or functional languages being advantageous.Familiarity with cloud technologies, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Containers, and Terraform.Foundation in statistics and mathematics.Strong analytical skills and a desire to tackle technical challenges.Excellent communication and project management abilities.Capacity to work independently and as part of a team, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.Previous experience in the financial services industry is not required. Expected Annual Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000
