Major Duties Serves as a Senior Data Scientist leading teams for the most complex projects.
May also serve as a team participant or an independent analyst on professional data science teams.Applies the rigors of the data science discipline to data analysis in Cyber, Information Technology and economic analyses of complex and potentially controversial major information technology systems and networks.Responsible for advanced level data science analytics characterized as highly unstructured and complex, having little definition or clarity, and especially complex analytic projects assigned to the organization.Provides business metrics and support for the most complex projects to identify improvements (contribution to the improvement should be monitored initially and over multiple iterations).Coordinates with the data steward to ensure that the information used follows the regulatory and security policies in place.Qualify where information can be stored or what information, external to the organization, may be used in support of the use case.Lead analytical projects, providing direction and guidance to project members of a professional nature in the execution and implementation of projects.Qualifications/ Specialized Experience Who May Apply: Only applicants who meet one of the employment authority categories below are eligible to apply for this job.

Basic Requirement for Data Scientist: A.
Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position.
OR B.
Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
