The Data Solutions Consultant coordinates and creates critical data services for Built clients in order to ensure successful implementation and ongoing client success, as well as Built's standing as a valued component in the client's overall workflow. This position combines client-facing, internal operational, and data conversion responsibilities. The ideal candidate is one that enjoys working with clients in order to assist them in navigating complex data landscapes, is analytical in nature allowing them to understand non-uniform data sets from various sources, can drive project success by creating deadlines while holding both internal and external parties accountable to performance, work in internal systems and tooling to adapt client data, and can balance competing priorities to ensure ultimate success. The ideal candidate is a problem solver (as each client has unique needs), has a clear technical understanding of data modeling, is excited to create processes and strategies to assist each client in their conversion to Built, is a great communicator, and most importantly takes ownership of their projects and drives them to success.
Responsibilities:This is a customer-facing role that will serve as the primary point of client contact for all data services at all points in the customer lifecycle, from the sales process through implementation and ongoing account growthMaintain an actionable understanding of Built's data landscape, architecture, and available solutionsWork with clients to obtain and validate data and use cases to be used in data servicesAnalyze client data and work with the internal stakeholders to create a conversion planAbility to translate client business/reporting needs into data requirements/structuresCoordinate the scoping, prioritization, delivery, and, where applicable, ongoing maintenance of client data services (one-time data import, ongoing data connections, application integrations)Create bottom up estimates to clients for custom solutions in data egress, ingress, and integrationFirst line of defense for triaging issues related to data imports, connections, and integrationsEstablish and ensure adherence to a clear process for service prioritization and delivery, with empirically informed improvements to the process over time based on feedbackWork with internal stakeholders, such as Engineering and Reporting, to ensure orderly delivery of client data servicesWork with client and internal stakeholders to maintain a prioritized queue of data services deliverablesDocument internal processesContribute to the overall strategy for Implementations, integrations, and Professional ServicesThe perfect candidate ideally has:5+ years of experience in managing or working with data pipelinesExperience managing projectsExperience working with large, non-uniform, data setsExperience working directly with clients and prospects to assess needs and define technical solutionsProficiency in Microsoft Excel manipulation (advanced Excel skills are highly preferred)At least 2 years experience in ETL/ELT and supporting SQL (SQL-99)While this is not a development role, familiarity with engineering tools, such as the POSIX command line, RESTful web servers, version control, and best practices, is highly recommendedBuilt's salary range for this position is $100,000- 130,000 USD per year. The pay range is designed to accommodate upward mobility in the role, therefore it encompasses the full span of proficiency levels for this role and we believe that the midpoint of the range is competitive in the market. Salary is just one component of Built's total compensation package for employees.
