Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director, is responsible for the District's data reporting; works with the District's information systems, state and county data systems, and a variety of software applications; collects and reports school and student information for the purposes of meeting State and Federal mandates; collects, manages, manipulates, builds reports, and distributes District data for analysis of student progress, evaluation, and implementation of school programs; develops and maintains procedures for data accuracy; and performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
High School graduation or equivalent; three years computer operations experience; experience with student information management system; and an AA/AS Degree or equivalent with emphasis in Data Processing; or any combination of education and experience equivalent in a closely related field in preparation for data processing and analysis, or such alternative that the Personnel Commission may find desirable; one year system analysis in data processing and experience of using statistical software desirable.
License: A valid Class C California Driver License.
Other: An automobile to be used in the course of work that meets the current legal requirements for vehicle operation in the State of California, including proof of insurance.
A DMV driving report is required prior to employment.

Essential Duties: Designs data collection procedures for capturing test results and loading results into student information system; designs, implements, and documents procedures for maintaining, collecting, and reporting district data; generates and uploads data files required for federal data systems; generates and uploads data files required for state data systems (CALPADS, CBEDS, state testing programs, such as CAASPP and CELDT); generates and uploads data files required for third party data systems (Illuminate, SEIS, AERIES); inspects data for accuracy; provides reporting capability for requirements not met by student information and/or third party data systems; provides periodic reports, as required (LCAP, student achievement); provides training on procedures of data reporting processes; acts as liaison with vendor contracted services; operates a variety of computer related equipment including document cameras, optical scanners, printers, and others; and performs related duties as assigned.
OTHER TYPICAL DUTIES
Checks information systems to ensure accuracy of district data; prepares operation instructions and procedures; coordinates the update and maintenance of district data with schools and departments; provides solutions and assistance to users for developing reports; and ensures the integrity and security of data.
